This is our lesson number 11. Today we're going to practise reading and listening.

1- Read an article about a girl called Helen Skelton, who agreed to kayak down the Amazon for charity. Read the introduction and answer the questions (pages 20,21 SB):




a- What did Helen do last year for  charity?
b- What is she hoping to do this year?
c- What is dangerous about the trip?
d- What experience does she have?

2- Read phone calls 1-3 and complete the gaps with the correct word. Then listen and check.

3- Listen to the rest of Helen's journey down the Amazon and answer the questions:

4- Are there any new words/ phrases? Copy them and look them up in a dictionary.

Now let's work with vocabulary and pronunciation. Look and learn information about strong adjectives:
