LESSON 8
Welcome to a new lesson! Today we're going to continue working with the topic we began working last zoom class: FIRST CONDITIONAL SENTENCES.
1- Answer these questions about you:
1- When was the last time you did an exam? Did you pass or fail?
2- What's the next exam you're going to do? How do you feel about it?
3- How do you usually feel before you do an exam?
4- What do you usually do the night before an exam?
5- Have you ever failed an important exam you thought you had passed (or viceversa)?
2- Listen to Olivia and Tomasz who are waiting for their exams results and answer the questions:
1- Do they think they have passed?
2- When and how will they get the results of the exam?
3- How will they celebrate if they get good results?
4- What do they want to do if they get good results?
5- What will they do if they fail, or if they don't get the results that they need?
Learn this:
3- Listen and complete the sentences:

4- Listen to Olivia and Tomasz. What grades / marks did they get? What are they going to do?
5- Read the theory and underline the correct tense:
6- Read the article on pages 66 and 67 SB and put the phrases A-H in the correct places:
7- Look at the highlighted words and phrases and work out their meaning from context.
Read and learn:
8- Rewrite the sentences. Use each of the three structures at least once:

2- Read the article again. Mark the sentences TRUE or FALSE:

ACTIVITY 2:
1- Olivia is sure she has passed, but she is worried about her grades.
2- She gets her results tomorrow by post.
3- She doesn't want to plan any celebrations until she gets the results.

1- Tomasz thinks he has passed and is quite optimistic.

ACTIVITY 4:
Olivia got an A in chemistry and biology, but only a B in physics and a C in maths. She is going to see if she can get a place at another university. If she can't, she'll probably retake her A-levels again next year.
Tomasz got a 7. He's going to celebrate by going to his favourite restaurant with his girlfriend.
